Welcome to Carolina and Maryland Behavioral Specialists! We are an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) group providing services in and around the Charleston, South Carolina and Baltimore, Maryland areas.
SERVICES
The Behavioral Specialists Team strives to provide you and your loved ones with ABA therapy you can trust to make a difference. Our staff is highly trained and experienced with all types of learners. We primarily work with individuals aged 0-17. Due to insurance requirements, a primary or secondary diagnosis of autism is required for ABA coverage. However, please feel free to inquire about other diagnoses as we offer private pay options. Our methodology includes the Verbal Behavior (VB) Approach, errorless teaching, and making learning desirable!
INITIAL ASSESSMENT
Getting Therapy Started
Each of our students are eligible for this service through their insurance, and is how we begin the therapy process. The initial assessment will be conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or BCBA, and will identify the areas we feel we can support. Such goals will be included on your child's initial treatment plan, and include language, social interactions, behaviors of concern, and self-care skills. Schedule yours today!
ONGOING THERAPY
Ongoing Therapy and Continued Support
Once our initial assessment is submitted and approved by your insurance, our team comprised of a Behavior Analyst and one or more Behavior Technicians can begin the ongoing therapy process. We are here for you as long as there are ongoing areas where we can assist. We look forward to a long-lasting and professional relationship!

THE BEHAVIORAL SPECIALISTS TEAM EXPANDS TO MARYLAND

Meet our Maryland State Director, Julia Dibos Turner! She has been working with the Carolina Behavioral Specialists team since 2015 as Regional Director and Behavior Analyst. This year, Julia and her husband decided to return to their home state to be closer to friends and family. With her move came the creation of Maryland Behavioral Specialists (MBS)! While our Carolina team will miss her dearly, we are beyond excited to begin serving families in a new state! MBS is currently accepting new students for our ABA therapy waiting list! Assessments will begin in early 2021.
